Stadt : Labor – Architekten works at the interface of spatial planning, transformation of the existing fabric and cooperative participation processes – with a particular focus on the Alpine region. Many years of experience in working with heritage, townscape (SOG) and ensemble protection commissions.

Barbara Lanz, geboren 1972 in Bruneck/Südtirol, ist Architektin und Kunsthistorikerin. Architekturstudium in Innsbruck und an der Università La Sapienza in Rom (1991–1999), Studium der Kunstgeschichte in Innsbruck (Abschluss 2006). Zwischen 2012 und 2023 externe Lehrbeauftragte am Institut für Architekturtheorie und Baugeschichte der Universität Innsbruck. Seit 2020 Mitglied der Sachverständigenkommission für die Altstadterhaltung Salzburg. Mitbegründerin von Stadt:Labor – Architekten (2004) und von Bauforschung Tirol (2001). Schwerpunkte: historische Bauforschung, Denkmalpflege, Beratungs- und Gutachtertätigkeit zu Fragestellungen von Kulturlandschaft, Stadt- und Ortsbildschutz.

Josef Herzog, Architekt mit Stationen in Tirol und Salzburg. Architekturstudium an der Universität Innsbruck, am Institut für Experimentelle Architektur Hochbau, wo er gemeinsam mit Nicolas Decker den experimentellen Waldkindergarten „TAKKA“ für die Marktgemeinde Nenzing/Vorarlberg entwarf. Berufserfahrung in den Bereichen Wettbewerb, Entwurfs-, Einreich-, Ausführungs- und Detailplanung sowie Ausschreibung und Mengenermittlung. Bei Stadt:Labor – Architekten 2019-2021 und wieder seit 2025.

Katharina Schmiderer, Architektin. Architekturstudium an der Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, Abschluss 2019. Berufliche Stationen bei Nina Mair Architecture + Design – einem Innsbrucker Studio an der Schnittstelle von Architektur, Interior und Produktdesign –, davor bei Machné & Glanzl Architekten ZT. Zusätzlich Mitarbeit bei bilding, der Innsbrucker Kunst- und Architekturschule für Kinder und Jugendliche. Diese Verbindung aus präziser Detailarbeit, gestalterischem Anspruch und Vermittlungsperspektive prägt ihre Herangehensweise. Seit 2025 bei Stadt:Labor – Architekten mit Schwerpunkten in Planung, Einreichung, Interior und Ausführungsplanung.

Martin Mutschlechner, geboren 1969 in Brixen, ist Architekt und Stadtplaner. Nach dem Architekturstudium und Stationen in Italien, Slowenien und Österreich (u. a. Heinz Mathoi Streli) absolvierte er 2002 den Master of Excellence in Architecture am Berlage Institut in Rotterdam unter Rem Koolhaas (OMA). Mitglied der Architektenkammern Bozen (seit 1999) und Tirol (seit 2011). 2004 Mitbegründer von Stadt:Labor – Architekten. Lehrbeauftragter an den Universitäten Innsbruck und IUAV Venedig. Schwerpunkte: Stadt- und Ortsentwicklung, Bestandstransformation, kooperative Planungsprozesse.

Mathias Lukasser, Architekt mit Schwerpunkt auf alpiner Baukultur und neuer Architektur im Alpenraum. Seine Arbeit gliedert sich in drei Themenfelder: Bauen am Berg, Bauen im Tal sowie Wettbewerbe, Studien und Forschung. Norbert Kathrein, Architekt. Aufgewachsen im Paznaun, lebt in Mathon. Architekturstudium an der Technischen Universität Wien, Abschluss 2015. Nach dem Studium führte ihn der Weg zunächst nach Oberösterreich, wo er als Planer beim Linzer Architekturbüro archinauten an Wohnbau- und Gewerbeprojekten mitwirkte. 2019 Rückkehr nach Tirol und Eintritt bei Stadt:Labor – Architekten. Mit seinem alpinen Hintergrund und der Erfahrung aus dem oberösterreichischen Bauen verbindet er regional verwurzelte Sensibilität mit zeitgemäßer planerischer Präzision. Schwerpunkte: Einreichungen, Ausführungsplanung, Detail, Holzbau, Bauen im Bestand.
