The measures follow the aims of heritage conservation: preserving, securing and carefully developing the historic building while respecting its evolved fabric, its original constructions and its design characteristics.
At the centre is the preservation of the authenticity of the Paarhof – a paired farmstead – as a cultural-historical testimony to the settlement and building history of the Tyrolean Oberland in the early 19th century. The planned structural interventions follow the principle of minimal intervention, i.e. only where functional, conservation or safety requirements demand it.
New elements are inserted reversibly, with restraint and at a respectful distance from the original fabric. The historic structure remains both legible and functional. The aim is to secure the existing building in its historic layering while enabling contemporary use as a residential and living building, without overwriting the fabric of heritage value.
Technical additions (building services, fire protection, structural engineering) are integrated where they are indispensable and carried out with the greatest possible care for the building fabric.
