Schenoni Urban Lab

The former Schenoni military site in Brixen, South Tyrol, is to be transformed through the neighbourhood development project. The project aims to create a modern, sustainable and liveable community that meets the needs of residents and visitors alike.

The project comprises the construction of residential units, commercial space and community facilities. The design places the emphasis on sustainable building practices, green spaces and walkability, making Schenoni a model for sustainable neighbourhood development. The community will also have access to public transport and sufficient parking, making it convenient and easily accessible for everyone.

The project not only offers high-quality housing and amenities but also serves to enhance the cultural and historical heritage of Brixen and South Tyrol. The design takes account of elements of the region’s history, such as the preservation of the existing buildings and the use of local materials. The community will also serve as a hub for cultural and educational events, further promoting the cultural richness of the region.

The Schenoni neighbourhood development project is being carried out in close cooperation with the local authorities and community groups to ensure that the needs and interests of the community are taken into account. The project will not only improve the quality of life in the neighbourhood but also stimulate economic growth by creating employment opportunities and supporting the local economy.
