The project comprises several key components that will make the river landscape an inviting and dynamic living environment for locals and visitors alike. A river arena, a water house, a standing wave and a bridge from the Brixen-Süd sports zone to Milland are just some of the striking elements that characterise this scheme.

01

The river arena will serve not only as a venue for events but also as a symbol of the connection between people and nature. It will enable encounters and activities along the riverbank and so strengthen the sense of community.

02

The water house will not only impress architecturally but also function as an education and information centre for ecological topics. It will offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about the unique flora and fauna of the river landscape and raise awareness of environmental issues.

03

The standing wave will not only delight water sports enthusiasts but also act as a draw for families and sports lovers. It will extend the region’s leisure offer and become a lively centre for activities on the water.

04

The bridge from the Brixen-Süd sports zone to Milland will not only connect different parts of the town but also improve mobility in the region. It will provide sustainable infrastructure for commuters, cyclists and pedestrians and thus enhance the quality of life for residents.

05

All in all, the river landscape project in Brixen – South Tyrol will not only impress architecturally but also represent a pioneering initiative for sustainable development and leisure. It will show how a creative integration of nature and urbanity can create a lively and attractive living environment.

06

As architects, we are proud to be part of this pioneering project and look forward to shaping a lively and liveable river landscape together with the municipality and the citizens of Brixen.
