Traube Vill – Programme 2017

Here we go! ..with the alternative use and activation of the Traube and the village centre of Vill for the next six months. Thanks to financial support from the Province of Tyrol, it was possible to launch a creative competition for the Traube and the village square. The Vill subcommittee was delighted to receive 15 submitted projects. A jury of experts selected three of them; in addition, three projects by Werhild Benger, Margarethe Westland and Christine Wiesler received a special mention.

Project 1: The Traube – More than just an inn
Various actors have joined forces to make visible the potential of the Traube as a centre of diversity in Vill and beyond. Art, stage, culture of remembrance, lectures and food will move into the premises for six months, enlivening, animating, staging and making them tangible. The focus is on doing things together, interaction, learning from one another and passing on knowledge. A variety of events is offered, among others by architektur:lokal e.G., feld – Verein zur Nutzung von Ungenutztem, kollektiv raum wert* and komischeVögel.

Project 2: Ding – Vill
A large table on the village square of Vill offers information technology that invites people to come together in the village centre and marks the space as a place for people to spend time. In workshops a table is built together, and a web server with village-square range is installed inside it. Via WLAN, “home pages” for as many houses in Vill as possible can be accessed. They give the respective residents the opportunity to put information ‘online’ on the village square that they wish to share with their neighbours. Once installed in the centre, the table becomes a destination for enquiries, a chance meeting point and a planned occasion for announced conversations about the ways in which information is exchanged in the village.

Project 3: Do It Yourself – Traube
Shared hobbies and interests gave a group of young people from Innsbruck the idea of holding various do-it-yourself workshops in the Traube in Vill. All areas of interest have one thing in common: they need space, and the activities are more fun when done together! The workshops focus on the following themes: fermenting, pickling and preserving, brewing beer and upcycling – all do-it-yourself. This is only partly about imparting knowledge; rather, a network and exchange of knowledge with other interested people and experts should emerge from doing things together.
