TT 04.08.2007 – Gärberbach in the Press

In early August 2007 the Tiroler Tageszeitung (Tyrolean daily newspaper) reported on the Gärberbach project – a building scheme that featured in Innsbruck’s urban and architectural debate at the time. Stadt:Labor – Architekten accompanied the discourse in print and in concept.
Gärberbach is exemplary of a number of Innsbruck sites that have to mediate between city and landscape, between historic fabric and development pressure. Such transitional situations are a lasting theme in our work – they call for solutions that do justice not only to one location but to an entire scale of context.
The TT article of 4 August 2007 documents an early phase of this discourse. For anyone interested in the history of Innsbruck’s urban development and in the themes that have shaped our work from the beginning, it offers a snapshot in time worth reading.
To be double-checked: the specific content of the Gärberbach article and the role of Stadt:Labor in it.
