DAMDI Publishing Korea – international book publication

DAMDI Publishing is a Korean publishing house founded in 2002 and based in Seoul, specialising in architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, public design and urban design. DAMDI publishes both monographs and thematic collections, which are distributed worldwide.

One of our projects was included by DAMDI in a publication. For a practice rooted in Tyrol, publication by a Korean publisher is a particular form of visibility: it shows that the Alpine themes we work with can connect to an international architectural discourse. Farmhouse refurbishment, building within the existing fabric, timber construction and neighbourhood development are not specifically Alpine problems – they recur, in their own form, in many regions of the world.

Over the years, this form of international visibility has helped bring students and young architects from abroad to us specifically for internships or professional exchange.
