alpitecture code 4-12 – Architects‘ Congress 2012

The alpitecture code 4-12 congress took place in 2012 at the KiMM in Meran and brought together a selection of architects from the Alpine region with internationally active manufacturers and clients. The format combined lectures with moderated discussion rounds on tourism architecture, building in the Alpine region and technology transfer.

Stadt:Labor was included in the programme as a participant. For a practice specialising in building in the Alps, forums of this kind are doubly useful: they sharpen one’s own position in comparison with colleagues from Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Slovenia, and they open up conversations with industry partners who otherwise rarely sit at the same table in the Alpine regions.

Over the years, several concrete collaborations have emerged from alpitecture code 4-12 – including beyond our immediate region. The congress was documented by trade media such as DETAIL and mag35.
