Brixner monthly magazine 10.2011 – Architecture coverage

The October 2011 issue of the Brixner continued the ongoing coverage of our work. In 2010 and 2011 we were involved in several procedures in Brixen at the same time – among them preparations for what would later become public as the Masterplan Brixen 2020.
At that time, Brixen was engaged in an active political debate about growth, townscape, densification and traffic. Architecture practices that took a recognisable position in this debate became part of the public discussion – beyond the individual commission in question.
Seen from today, the Brixner issue 10/2011 marks a point in our work at which individual building tasks developed into a recognisable urban design approach: careful densification, upgrading of the existing fabric, new neighbourhoods without loss of the identity of what already exists. We continue this line to this day, visible in projects such as Priel Arena or the Schenoni site.
