a_palaver episode 083 (02.02.2009) – architecture podcast
a_palaver is an architecture programme produced since 2004 for radio and as a podcast, published from Vorarlberg. Its ambition to discuss architecture beyond ready-made images and buzzwords has made the format an independent voice in Austrian architectural communication.
In episode 083 of 2 February 2009, our practice was the subject of a conversation. The passage from this episode quoted in the title – the plea not to let ready-made ideas block one’s thinking – sums up an attitude that has shaped our work from the beginning. For us, architecture is at its strongest when a specific place, a specific task and a specific client form the starting point – not an abstract stylistic concept.
