Stadt:Labor – Architekten is one of the leading planning and consulting firms for architectural projects and site development in the German-speaking Alpine region and accompanies projects from conception and planning to realization and completion. Together with our clients we find the simple solution for complex tasks.
Stadt:Labor – Architekten is currently managed by architect and art historian Barbara Lanz and architect and urban planner Martin Mutschlechner with four employees and is integrated into a dynamic, interdisciplinary network of project partners.
Mag. Arch. DI Barbara Lanz
As an architect and art historian, she focuses on historical building research and takes on planning and consulting activities in existing buildings. Her field of work is widely spread, both topographically and in terms of content. It encompasses – from scientific research to site supervision and planning – all processes involved in dealing with historical building fabric. In this context, objects in the secular and sacral area and in different scales – ruins and fortifications, technical monuments, urban and rural dwellings, as well as entire village and town ensembles – are taken care of.
M.Sci dott.arch DI ZT Martin Mutschlechner
As an architect and urban planner he works mainly in the field of urban and local development as well as public buildings. In addition to his activities as a guest lecturer at several universities in Austria and abroad, such as the University of Venice or the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, he publishes in various national and international media and moderates symposia and workshops. His work has been shown at the Venice and Rotterdam Biennales and at the Archilab exhibition in Orleans, among others.
